Package list
On the box there is a keyboard model image and keyboard name “i75 mechanical keyboard”. Open the box, we can find a user manual in Chinese and English. It gives the guide of Bluetooth setting, shortcuts, and rgb customization. Then there is a plastic transparent dust cover. And then the low profile computer keyboard is stored in a bag. The 75 layout keyboard this time is the white and silver version, which has a stylish and simple design. As for the other accessories, it comes with a 2 in1 keycap and switch puller, and a type-C cable.
Specs
Now let’s take a look at the specifications of the low-profile mechanical keyboard i75v2. We can tell the version from the sticker label on the side of the box, it says i75v2 model and white snow switch.
First of all, we can have a look the appearance of this 75 keyboard layout. The unique features are that there is a knob to adjust the volume and rgb. On the upleft, there is a customizable shortcut key. There is a strip of slight concave on the edge of bottom. So that we can rest our wrist when typing.
Another feature is the separate arrow keys and the extra keys like Del, PgUp, PgDn. Unlike other compact 75 keyboards, kzzi i75v2 low profile pc keyboard is designed with more room near the arrow keys. On the keycaps, there are many icons or the indicator for the use of kzzi keyboard. For example , A is for the windows operating system, while S represents Mac operating system. On the keycap of Win, Alt, Ctrl keys, there is also MAC legends, like Control, option and command for mac user. And we can also adjust the RGB color, effect, brightness or the speed with the Fn key combination. The Hints can also be found on the keycaps. Using the i75v2 low profile mechanical keyboards becomes a simple thing.
The low profile keyboard wireless i75v2 also comes in pink or gray. At the back side of the low profile keyboards i75v2, the 2 stages of feet pad helps to adjust the angle of the keyboard. The 2.4G dongle is also attached on the back. This keyboard low profile i75v2 supports wired/2.4G dongle/Bluetooth 3 modes of connection. The switch button is near the charging port, which is easy to adjust the connection mode.
RGB
The keyboard rgb is quite bright because of the shine-through keycaps. We can see from the video 5:40 the low profile rgb keyboard lights up beautifully. If you are a fan of keyboard with beautiful rgb lighting, this is the keyboard we would recommend.
Frame
The 75 keyboards i75v2 is made of the combination of aluminum and ABS. The aluminum part is the top frame of the keyboard, the other part of the keyboard case is made of the ABS plastic. The low profile wireless keyboard i75v2 weights only 712g. It is relatively light compared to those keyboard which is more than 1KG. The i75v2 75 mechanical keyboard is convenient to carry with. Although the aluminum frame adds some weight on the keyboard, causing it is not as light as other full plastic low profile keyboard.
Structure
The kzzi i75v2 75 percent keyboards adopts top mount structure. But from the video 7:48 we can see when pressing the keyboard, there is enough bounce. The keyboard still offers soft typing feeling. Though i75v2 is low profile keyboards, 5 layers of filling material won’t be absent.
Battery
The battery capacity of low profile mech keyboard i75v2 is 3750mAh, which can last at least 25 hours when the rgb is at the brightest state. If we turn off the rgb, the keyboard can work 400 hours consistently. Not a quite large battery design makes it safe to carry around.
Switch and keycap
The stablizers are already pre-lubed. If you find there is still some unpleasant sound, it is ok to lube them better. The low profile switch owns 5 pins. When we compare the pins of gateron or kailh low profile switch, we can see they are completely different. i75v2 hot swappable keyboard does not support other LP switch brands. The switch testing sound is from 9:40 in the video. The keycaps are made of ABS material with double-shot process. That’s to say, it might be as durable as the PBT material. But the double shot process ensures the legend will not fade.
Price
I75v2 low profile keyboard mechanical is about 9500 yen in Japanese. As for the price, it would be great if we take a look at this keyboard and it can be purchased under 10000yen.
Charms
Then let’s move to the 3 unique features of the low profile keyboard i75v2. The first thing is the top mount doesn‘t mean i75v2 is a hard keyboard. On the opposite, we can get the soft typing feeling with the light force switches. The second unique feature is the customizable shortcut key and the knob. Maybe the volume knob on the upright corner is common in the market now, but the shortcut is quite interesting. Perhaps some one is the first time to see this, including me. The shortcut key can be assigned other functions in the kzzi software. The third feature is that we can remap the keyboard using a dedicated driver. There is also a blog introducing how to use kzzi software.(note: because of MAC rule, kzzi driver does not support the mac computer)
The sound and typing
Since i75v2 hot swap keyboard does not support low profile switches from other brands, we’d better to listen to the typing sound from video 15:19 to 16:00. As for the typing sound, we can say it is creamy, but for the individual key like spacebar, there might exit a little bit unpleasand sound based on the personal opinion. In terms of the whole keyboard typing sound, it is still creamy. When we talk about the typing feeling, it is soft and uneasy to get tired for long time typing.
Pros and Cons
The first point is the price of i75v2 low profile keyboard mechanical is budget-friendly. Most low profile keyboards are divided into 2 levels. Either going for nearly 20000yen, or around 10000yen. I75v2 is near 11000yen with shipping fee. It is worth including as a low-profile keyboard that can be purchased at an affordable price.
The second feature is the multifunctional knob and shortcut key. The knob can adjust the volume and rgb, but we can decide what function the shortcut key works freely. It can be done in the same way as remapping other keys.
The third is the beautiful rgb. The combination of diffuser in the switch and the shine-through keycaps makes the rgb really surprising. And the simple white color matches well with the RGB.
Speaking of the negative points, the first thing is that there is no other switch compatible. Moving on to the second point, the keycaps comes with this pre-assembled keyboard are ABS. The third point is that I can not find more platform to purchase the keyboard, at the moment we can only get it on the official store.
