This article introduces the main fucntion of kzzi software and using guide. Kzzi Regular Mechanical Key board(like Model: K20,K68pro, K75 series, K98 series, K87, Z98series, i75 series)needs to be set with the kzzi software. https://www.kzzistore.com/pages/manual. While other HE keyboard models like G68se, Ares98, Ares75 support website driver, check here.
How to Connect with Kzzi Software
Step 1: Download the kzzi software according to the keyboard models.
Step 2: Connect the keyboard with a Windows computer, make sure the keyboard is connected with cable(wired mode)
Step 3: If the software recognizes the keyboard successfully, there will be a keyboard name in the home page of software.

Step4: Click the keyboard name to enter the menu page
After clicking the keyboard name, we can see the profile page like picture below(take Key20 wireless keyboard numeric keypad as an example).

Remap&Profile Settings
In this page, we can customize key function and set multiple configuration layers.
Click the key we want to modify once and then select the replacement key. For example: replace the number” 1” with the letter “A”.

The modified key will be highlighted(like image below), and hovering over it will display the updated function(like image above).

To restore a single key to its default function, right-click on it and select "Default Function".

Default Function
Make the chosen key back to the factory settings.
Disable the key
Make the key stop working.
Custom Function
Make the key function diversify, including key combination, Macro Definition, Multimedia, and Windows Shortcut.

Key Combination
It can be the key start with Shit, Ctrl, Win, or Alt. For example: Ctrl+C=copy, Alt+Shit+A=screenshot.

Macro Definition
Apply the Macro list to the keys

Multimedia
Some media keys that do not show on the page, like Play/Pause, Stop, Previous, Next, Volume up/down, Mute, Screen+/-

Windows Shortcut
Get some shortcuts quickly, the function like calculator, lock the PC, back to desktop etc.

The custom function helps to make the computer key board more effective when working or gaming.
If we want to get more function of each key, set the FN layer is a good idea.
FN1 Layer
If we want to apply number 1 and letter A to the number 1 at the same time. Switch to FN1 layer, set number 1 with Letter A, then pressing 1 directly will still output A, but pressing FN+number 1 will output A.

FN2 Layer
The same steps with FN1. But firstly, you need to assign an key on the keyboard as the FN2 key (which can be found in the key map). For example, assign the NUM as FN2, switch to FN2 layer, set number 2 with letter B. Then we can get number 2 when press number 2 only, but NUM+2=Letter B.

Tap Layer
When we switch to Tap layer, set key 1 to letter A. Press 1 will output A, while holding 1 will get the original number 1 key
(Note: this function requires “enabling tap ” in the settings page, and the value below adjusts the duration of the press).
Macro Manager
Create a new macro by clicking the name button, recording the desired key combination, setting repeat count and delay time.
How to create a new macro event
Step1: click on "New"
Step2: enter the macro name, for example: 1
Step3: set the repetition cycles and delay time (in milliseconds) between inputs.
Step4: click "Recording" and input the desired key combination.
Step5: After finishing the recording, click ‘stop recording’and ‘save’.
Step6: we can also insert the macro event before or after other keys.
How to apply a macro event to the key
Assign the pre-recorded macro to a key in the Profile Settings we mentioned above.
Step1: right-click on any key and select "Custom Function."
Step2: choose "Macro Definition"
Step3: select the previously created macro function. Click "Apply" to complete the process.
Then, when you press this key while typing, it will input the pre-recorded key combination. (For setting macros on different layers, refer to point 2. The recorded macro files can be saved locally or imported from other users.)

Light Effect Setting
The Kzzi mechanical keyboard offers various of lighting modes, including music rhythm and a series of pre-build light effects. We can also self-define lighting brightness and animation speed, customize individual key lighting colors under the steady lighting effect.
What’s more, the automatic sleep time for wireless connectivity can be adjusted here, from 5 mins to no sleep mode(The selected lighting effect on this interface can be synchronized with other connected modes.)

Custom Lights
Choose from 9 lighting modes and create multiple real-time custom lighting effects. Assign effects to preset or manually selected regions for distinct lighting. Note that custom lighting is only available when the software is running and doesn't sync with other connection modes. Brightness adjustment is not supported.
Backlight Recording
Most Kzzi key boards supports backlight recording, like 98 key mechanical keyboard, Z98, K75 series etc.
Step1: press FN+1! to get ready to customize backlight
Step2: press FN+BACK to record the backlight
Step3: press the keys which we want to record, repeat the pressing to change the color of backlight.
Step4: repeat the step3 for other keys
Step5: When recording is finished, press FN+BACK again to save and exit backlit recording.

Other functions with TFT screen keyboard
Date&GIF
Kzzi Z98 series keyboard is equipped with a TFT screen, which can show the time, date, favored gif.
On the menu of TFT, when click Time Syns, the time and date of keyboard will keep the same with our computer. It is also the same place to customize the gif.

Magnetic Switch Keyboard Software
Key Remap
Apart from the normal function keys, Kzzi software adds mouse function to the key remap, including left click, middle click, right click, move forward and back.

Adjustable Actuation Point
Each key can be set the pressing and bouncing length from 0.1mm to 4.0mm. Unlike the regular mechanical keyboard, we can set the shorter length so that we do not need to press the key down to the bottom and wait for bounce back. It helps us move faster in the rhythm or fighting game.

Other Customizable Functions in software

DKS
DKS stands for Dynamic Keystroke that allows a single key to perform multiple actions based on how far down the key is pressed. This functionality is enabled by the adjustable actuation points of magnetic switches, allowing the keyboard to detect different levels of keypress depth.
For example, Letter Q can be assigned with acbdabcd as image below. It is easy to set the command times and their orders. DKS provides a more dynamic experience by allowing multiple actions from a single key based on the user's input.

MT
MT is short for Multi-Tap. The function allows one single key to perform 2 different keys according to the time we press to the key. And we can also set the holding time in the kzzi software.
For example, assign A and B for the Q. When holding Q, A comes. And if we click Q shortly, we can get B. The function is useful for RTS and MOBA games, improving game performance and efficiency.

TGL function
TGL represents Toggle Key. It can transform a key into either continuously function, or trigger the key/function normally. It's a feature that allows a single key to have two different modes of operation: standard press and continuous press. A quick tap trigger a repeating keypress, while holding the key down can activate a standard function, useful for gaming or other situations requiring repeated actions. Here rapid-fire actions and repeated inputs are common. It provides a way to activate these actions without having to repeatedly press a key

Shortcuts Locking in the software
There are some shortcuts might influence the gaming operating. In the kzzi software, we can lock them so that they won’t be functional when gaming.

SOCD
SOCD is known as Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions. This is a tech to deal with the conflict of the opposite keys, like up and down, left and right. In the regular mechanical keyboards, when we press the 2 opposite keys at the same time, It may result in direction failure due to circuit conflicts, or outputting incorrect signals.
However in the gaming keyboard with magnetic switches, we can adjust the function according to the rules we set in the software. For example, Last input priority, Always A priority, Always UP priority or None output.
For different kzzi keyboard models, they might not use the same version of the kzzi software. If there is any question about the kzzi software, please feel free to email kzzi@kzzi.com
